Background

Playpause is both a lens and a set of tools with which to navigate our world; inner, outer, and how the two relate. It means perspective & presence. A way of doing & being in life.

Play explores perspectives - helping expand our imagination and create new possibilities. Being an arena free of judgement or rules, we can challenge ideas and be generative if we show up with curiosity, lean in with joy, and honor emergence.

Pause is the presence and deep listening from within that helps us digest what we discover in play. It lets us connect dots, weave webs, and discern what’s most meaningful for us and needing further attention or action.

In my own life, and in the coaching I offer, momentum is created using the energy and space of Play and Pause to nourish and enrich our unique aliveness.

I have a firm belief, rooted in me from the bold curiosity and experiences of loss in my youth, that life is an adventure and we get to choose how to live it.

As my professional years began - at a PBS documentary series with a mission of helping young people define their own roads in life - mountain running emerged as my ideal playground for nourishing body, mind, and soul.

I then pursued work connected to the outdoors with companies like Clif Bar, Adidas, and Geocaching, while simultaneously coaching and developing programs in running and fitness spaces.

From program creation to business development, with sports teams to software development teams, I embolden people to imagine possibility, anchor it to purposeful or meaningful goals, and create clear, focused momentum that brings ideas to life.

Play is about exploring inner and outer nature, to embolden people and bring possibilities to life.
